Spend a slow, creative day with me at my studio at Farfield Mill, surrounded by the rivers, hills and wild landscape of the Yorkshire Dales.

This is a day to step away from the everyday, spend time making with your hands, and settle into the quiet rhythm of weaving in a beautiful place.

Weaving, making & exploring

We'll begin in the studio, choosing colours, yarns and a design for your bracelet. I'll guide you through the whole process, from warping and setting up the loom, to exploring different weaving techniques and developing your own design.

When the weather allows, we'll take our looms down to the river and spend some time weaving outside. The sound of the water, the landscape and the slow rhythm of the loom make this one of my favourite ways to weave.

There will be plenty of time to pause, wander and explore Farfield Mill too — from the working looms and artists' studios to exhibitions, craft galleries and the beautiful surrounding landscape.

We'll take a relaxed break for lunch from Farfield Tea Room, with tea, coffee and cake throughout the day.

By the end of the day, you'll have created your own bespoke handwoven bracelet, finished and ready to wear, along with the knowledge and confidence to continue weaving at home.

A day immersed in making

There is something wonderfully absorbing about weaving beside the river — the rhythm of the loom, the sound of the water, the changing light and the landscape around you.

This is a day to slow down, become immersed in making, and spend some time away from the usual pace of life. To learn something new, enjoy the landscape, and leave with something beautiful that you've made with your own hands.
